I actually have three severe phobias, but the main one is
germs. Just the mention of the word and my stomach turns. With this phobia, of course, I am constantly washing my hands and take showers daily (Which I would hope everyone else does too o_o;), and I cannot eat food in public places that requires me to use my hands, I just can't do it. Therefore, it has a pretty large impact on my life. I believe this phobia is linked to my second phobia, which is vomiting. I cannot, and I mean cannot even feel nauseous without breaking out into a sweat, turning snow white, feeling light-headed and a panic attack approaching. And I can't be around or see someone vomiting, because it in turn makes me feel sick. it's not exactly a
normal bodily function, which is why I think it scares me. I've had this phobia since I was really little, and I don't think it's quite as bad as it used to be, but it still really has a hold of my life.
Third phobia; aliens. I know, I know, who really knows if aliens exist or not? After seeing various television shows and movies about them, and reading about "abduction" encounters on the web, I have this gigantic fear of them. The idea of some weird being taking me into the unknown while they do strange tests on me and leave metal scraps in my body is something unbelievably terrifying. This phobia grew emensely after seeing that one scene in the movie "Signs" where they show a news broadcast on the television of a child's birthday party, when out of the blue, this alien runs across the screen in the background. I was fairly young when I saw that movie, and the image is still burned into my head. This one doesn't REALLY affect my life as much as it used to, but yeah, it's a pretty bad one. :/
I know I have a ton of more weird phobias, but I kind of overdid it already anyway. XD
